WHAT TO DO WITH AN OLD BOX..

 Hello everyone,

I was thinking maybe do this post in two parts as it is going to be a big one, lots and lots of photos, but then it is just going to another long one the next post, that's how many there are, so sit back, grab a coffee and be so glad you didn't have to edit this lot.

Here we go.. the postie arrived and I ended up with a box..

What else could I do but paint it using my chalk paints, they dry so fast..

Outside done and decided to cover inside with papers..

Measured and cut my papers to size [lol..me measured]

And side by side glued them all down..

Done.

Then the die cutting began as I had in my mind what I wanted it to look like..

I adore this set, so easy to put together cuts like a dream..

Went with white flowers and a powder blue on top, soft and so pretty.

Just what was in my mind..

The centers I coloured with 2 markers..

Gold yellow and brown..

The leaves would have been easier with card stock but just didn't have the colour I wanted
so easier to make my own..

All the bits ready to be glued..

and glued...

The flowers just come alive when you add the center bit.

and then they were splattered with white ink..

See..

The leaves were too after colouring with 2 green markers..

Then I had to paint some straws as I wanted logs,
well,  in my mind they were logs..

Straws painted and dry.

Started by placing on the flowers to get the
idea from my head to the box..
and didn't realise how big the box was and I had too many gaps..

But went easy on myself [ at this stage ] and punched these flowers..[Fiskars punch]

Popped them around and nup!..didn't do it for me..

Out came an Altenew flowers, die set, three layer, first in yellow as that layer can be seen right the way through for flower center, then white then the blue, such a pretty die set..

and go so nice with these flowers.

There they all are glued together..

Now things were looking better.. [ I'm on day 4 here]

Found this black string in my box of strings!!..
So popped that on then glued my " logs"

Tiny pearls [ can't remember their real name]

Just a little glue and gentle sprinkle and they all behaved and stayed where they landed..phew..

The punched flower had a center coloured put in place then added into the gaps..

Then I needed butterflies..

So die cut a few and coloured the same, all in bluey green..

You know what's going to happen now don't you, I could have left it alone, but oh no, not me, I had to fiddle some more, make more work for myself and decided to decorate the inside as well..

So away we go, filling the inside with flowers and leaves .

It was tricky in a way but not too hard, once I started, I had to finish it..

Day 6 and it was nearly there..

The postie had called in and I received a card from my friend, and DT buddy
  Brenda
and inside was this soft white netting which is just what I ordered in my head but didn't have..

So it was cut up into tiny pieces and popped in more gaps
and I was so pleased, it just finished it off..

So here it is laying flat - ish .

and just some random shots trying to let you see all sides etc..

Im so happy with it, no idea what I'm going to do with it, but I'm happy just the same..

So there we go..
I hope you made it to the end in one piece, gosh, it was exhausting wasn't it..

Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you over the weekend..

Luv CHRISSYxx

LOL! I love that you created a masterpiece for the pure joy of making it, Chrissy. I often stop myself from creating if I don't know what I will do with it afterward. You have inspired me to NEVER do that again. I know. I know. Never say never, right? LOL Your design, with all its layers and incredible forethought, is amazing. With every visit to your blog, I sigh in appreciation and contentment, thinking just how clever and wondrously talented your diligent fingers are, and how willingly they follow the leadings of your artistic heart. Thank you for sharing creative process with us. And now... for my other hat... It's always a pleasure seeing how crafters are inspired by the Mood Board at our challenge. Thank you for sharing your love of all things flowers at the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge. I hope to see more of your designs soon.

I had to laugh when you started doing the inside too :) I was thinking what has she got planned for this that she is putting stuff on the inside, and then get down to the bottom that you have no idea what you are going to use it for, whatever you decide it is going to be a gorgeous way to display or store items that's for sure, I love your choice of adding the smaller flowers in there and your idea for the "logs". Beautiful upcycling for sure!
