Hello everyone,
Time for a new challenge over at LITTLE RED WAGON and Jan is out hostess this week and her theme is.. Craft with Kraft - use kraft paper..
Not hard at all and even, like me, you don't have kraft in your stash, you can use office manilla folders..
Not a bad substitute and you get three tags out of the front and three out of the back,
but I glue mine together to make them thicker..
Sorted out some Christmas type papers
and used some left over music papers I bought from a second hand book shop..
After covering the front of the tag,
I ripped up papers, yes I did, I just jumped right in and ripped them up.
added them on top of the music sheets in layers until I was happy..
Then die cut my stag head and sprayed him...BUT...not a lot happened.
I had to really work at getting colour on this guy, must have been the manilla paper, the ink just soaked in and disappeared.
Eventually some ink stayed so let it alone..
Used this punch to punch out an eye and added black ink with a marker for an eyeball
leaving the tiniest bit of white showing.
See..
Then to heck with it, I sprayed him with water, a lot of water and the ink finally reacted
and I got a splotchy deer.
So, I popped them on the tags when he was good and dry
and added a lacy corner die cut,
In my Christmas box of stash I had left overs, so sorted through to make clusters
that didn't entirely match, but didn't need to.
See..
Then remembered this berry, pine cone and branches die from Honey Bee stamps..LOVE.
added the berries to my foliage and a giant pink bell that jingles perfectly..
and finally, three tags done and ready for Christmas..
So there we go,
Do come and join in HERE
Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you later with DT post #2..
