Hello everyone,
Well, at long last we have a cure for my poor split fingers, they heal almost instantly, but I can never stop doing this...cracked heel balm..I know, me too, I thought what the heck!..but, it works, no pain, over night cracks 90 % gone..So I will keep using this at night, is best, or when I leave the craftroom..
this is the one I'm using, absolutely brilliant cure..
So still not a lot of paper craft going on, but I can share some things behind the scenes,
and hopefully entertain you for a bit and keep the blog alive...
RESIN PROJECTS...
I have been playing with resins and this one is the best, it dries fast turns white fast and gets quite warm, BUT nothing alarming..
there was quite a bit of interest in how I made my shell for my last DT journal..
Well, here they are..I used a Stamperia mould..
then I coloured them with Alcohol inks..
Just made a little palette on a packaging thing.
and painted..
There they all are, but, so far only used the big shell..
A lot of fun to do, and I wore gloves..
NEXT UP..
I made this little folder with pockets inside and held together with the eyelets,
but mine went crooked,
see, crooked, but I have since forced it straight and lay under heavy books and things, and it is reasonably straight, sort of, and it is in a project which I'll share soon..
A bit closer, these papers are so awesome, grungy and stuff..
I manages to get my eyelets out of line a bit..
But here it is, and as I said I will share what I have done with at a later date..
NEXT UP...
I went shopping....online...oh dear..
and had a go at making my own polaroid frames, quite easy to be honest, and
they came out pretty good..
See...
I'm so into these people who ever they are and love using them in projects..
So far, three were made, never used yet, but I will and intend on making more..
NEXT UP..
A book cover using a cereal box..and covered with nautical fabric..
papers on the inside...
Fabric on the outside..
Done...again, not used, but I will..
Crikey are you exhausted yet..
NEXT UP...
Making a simple master board using small paper pad docket things..
got to this stage here just before Holly turned up and it was the fastest
hurry up I've had..she just walks right through and get gluey feet and I have wash them and it causes anxiety and drama but still, she does it again.
All dry, paw prints gone and everyone survived the day..
So that' s it.
.I have more to share but it will be a long post
as there are more pictures on the one subject..
Thank you so much for stopping by, hopefully will get into my cards again, I need
to have certain days allotted, like I have die cutting day, once every six weeks, water colouring day,
( just had one, what a great day ) and things like that..
So far scrapbooking is now twice a week..so I can fit other things in.
.makes sense doesn't..
See you Wednesday or maybe before, you never know..

Oh Chrissy you do make me laugh. Firstly, so glad you found a 'cure' for your poor hands, I wonder can we get that stuff here, will have a look after.
Your creations are as wonderful as always, love fabric covered books, I have only ever made two and they were padded for a friend, it was during my quilting faze, hahaha, happy days. xx
So glad you found something to heal your cracked fingers, that stuff looks amazing and is obviously doing the job! You never stop do you, even with sore fingers! Those resin shells look wonderful, so realistic! The polaroids look great as does your book cover.
Thake care and look after those fingers.
xx
Hope your cracked fingers will be healed soon, Crissy.
But nevertheless you are planning a lot of new things. Looks promising. Love the polaroids and that book cover is stunning!
So glad you found something that will help for your cracked fingers. Before my husband retired, he worked outside in cold temperatures and couldn't wear gloves with the wires he worked with, so he would come home with cracked hands and would put a salve on at night and wear gloves..which helped some, but yes, this can get painful if not dealt with. I love your project here and the wonderful details with the folds, papers and resin! I've not used alcohol inks with the resin, but now I need to try it! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration friend!
Glad you found something that worked for your hands, I try to avoid using lotions before crafting too, so I also moisturize a lot at night. You did a great job with coloring the shells.
Very creative with your folder, i too love the grunge! Your polaroids are so cool too. I have never tried a master board myself, but thinking I might one of these days :)
You seem to have plenty in the works. Nice job on those frames. And don’t worry about the crooked folder, in this vintage style it just adds to the charm in my opinion.
Great design as always and your card is amazing ♥ [yes the best cream for any cracks on fingers, toes, heels xx]
So glad you found a cure, I will pass this on to my daughter for sure. Never thought of using that on hands lol but do use on my feet! Makes sense!! I absolutely love this project. Firstly your resin designs are AMAZING and that sweet little book with all the photos, wow I love it for sure Chrissy!
I'm so happy you found that heel cream! I've had to put the Avon Moisture Therapy on my fingers every day lately. It's thick and gooey but helps my cuticles, thankfully. Very nice menagerie of craft on display today. I had to chuckle at the eyelets. I've ruined so many projects when my eyelet wouldn't flatten on the back end, ugh. But yours did remind me of Donna Downey. Do you remember her? She started out as the queen of mini albums and one day after she finished one, she decided one of the pages needed a few eyelets so she applied them. BUT she forgot to look on the other side of the page first. Well, the other side had a photo of her little son standing in a kiddie pool and she had managed to put an eyelet on his crotch! hahaha She laughs and says, I'm bringing eyelets back, Baybeeeeeee!!! She was a hoot. XOX
Looks like you're keeping busy! How smart about the polaroid die idea; it looks great.
Well, what a varied and very interesting post, happy to read that you've found something that works to heal those overworked fingers. :) x
