Hello everyone..
Glad you liked the ATC's, they were so much fun to make and I always, nearly always, make in bulk, well, 5,6,or 7 at once..to me that is bulk, and gives me background for more ideas that may pop in..
But today, I made a nautical wooden plaque for myself..
I purchased about 10 of these, very light wood, pokie tool goes straight through with no pressure to make a hole for the string..very good.
I glued and covered it with paper similar to this..a bit more greeny..
after shaving the edges I added a light coat, here and there, of Gesso..
Made the hole and added this sign from my nautical chipboard box
with a brad and threaded the string under the brad..
Little bits of onion bag netting glued in places..
And encircled the whole frame with string and hot glue..my poor delicate fingers, but I got there without too much damage..
then all my die cuts and ephemera and chipboard plus my resin mold stuff came out for
embellishing..
I just kept piling them on and slipping some under that could go under and
just had fun.
this shell is a mussel shell with actual beard left on it
so I added a couple of shells and a pearl to make it pretty and filled a gap.
White paint ready for sponging with a sponge to tone and highlight at the same time..
over everything..
lovely dimension..
and all done..
Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow..
luv CHRISSYxx

FABULOUS, wow Mrs you have done it again. This looks wonderful Chrissy, love all the elements, its packed full of lovely 'stuff', and I do like the way you edged it with rope, very creative. xx
Absolutely beautiful Chrissy. A real piece of art!
It's gorgeous Chrissy, all the elements look wonderful together, makes me think of a brisk walk along the shore on one of those days there's no sun and no distinction of where the sea meets the sky, with the shells crunching underfoot and seagulls screaming overhead and you're just glad to be alive and out there enjoying it all...
Fabulous sea-themed hanger, love all the dimension, dies and string edging.
