CANDLE IN THE WIND..DT

 Hello everyone,

It's LITTLE RED WAGON time and our lovely hostess is Kate and she is carrying on with her Elton John songs inspired themes and this week " Candles in the wind " - any light source, sun, light bulb, candle and even the moon is eligible as it cast light on us..

My project started on background making day, I have those, and this was the biggest stencil I think I own, bought it, never used it, but on this day, I did..and  stenciled with modelling paste..then it sat there.

I had no idea what to really do with it, then these powders came to mind..

Nuvo powders, gorgeous colours and on black, well, they just worked.

Tap tap tap, very gently...too impatient, I squeezed it..

but lots of water and getting the powder to melt and move,
I ended up with this..

then I split in two and ended up with two tags..

I got my pencil out and sort of sketched a couple of light bulbs,
then cut then out..

Coloured them yellow with silver gel pen tops..

and drew some electric wire things with thin black marker..

added die cut chains with silver mirror card stock..

This one had a single chain which was actually the chain off an anchor die..

and the we go, two tags with a background I had no use for but it turned out I did..

so do come and join in with us HERE

Thank you so much for stopping..
I'll see you again soon..

  6. This is the exact reason I love doing our challenges. Who would have thought to put a lightbulb (which by the way is very cool!) on that particular background? But because of the challenge, you did and ended up with 2 fab tags!
