WHITE SNOW OR PINK SNOW?

 Hello everyone,

So, tag making day was nearly successful, but forgetting that distress ink take on colours and move things around, well, lets just say I nearly lost it..

three white card stock panels..

Layer #1

Builder netting stuff..

layer #2

Modelling paste just smearing it on here and there..

layer #3

distress sprays..

Nearly dry and all was well..

Tim Holtz Christmas tree but only used two layers..
and added Honey Bee  Lovely Layer Winter Greetings..Berries

These panel had a few more sprays here and there as they were flat
and I liked them much better here now.

Then I though how about stenciling some beautiful snowflakes in this lovely
glitter paste..

So far so good.........................................then they dried!!!!

Damn it, they went pink.

I carried on though, they were alright I suppose.

then decide to add pink gems on the red berries..
turned them all the more pink..

I stapled some ephemera and glued a sentiment on top as a cluster..

But in the end, and that was the end , as I was over it,
they came out quite pretty..
Jute ribbon and string to tie the top..

This one I will enter into Tag -along ( and ATC's ) it has the least pink on it..

So there we go,

Thank you so much for stopping by..

Luv CHRISSYxx

I think they turned out gorgeous Chrissy- love the background and the beautiful trees, I think the pink tinge to the snowflakes gives a lovely soft effect. xx

WOW these are beautiful and so tactile. Ive had that problem with texture paste sucking up the colour from below too but i think white snow might have been too stark anyway:-) I like the pink tinge.

Hey, they turned out "IN THE PINK" !!! Haha, fixed it for ya! Seriously, I think they are prettier than if the snowflakes were white. And yes, that lil problem with DI's. I wonder if a shot of hair spray before the snowflakes would have helped to fixate? I think yes but also seem to remember they bleed like a stuck pig no matter what! xxo

Nice to see all the mixed media goodies you added to your tags, I like the pink in the snowflakes but I do understand that you would like to have them white. Love those trees, they look so full and have great dimension, like the addition of the berries.
