SAD SONGS ( SYMPATHY ) DT

 Hello everyone,

I here with a DT project, yep, it is time for LITTLE RED WAGON  and this week we have the lovely Kate as our hostess and her them is " Sad Songs "( Sympathy project )..not always easy, I remember a long time ago I had a request for a bunch of over the top loud floral sympathy cards for a very loud happy lady who had died and all the ladies in the rest home, well, nearly all, wanted them, oh my, but this one is subtle..and not nearly as bright as it shows..

I just water coloured, or blobbed some distress ink and water
onto a sheet of card stock, and let it do whatever it wanted to do.

Die cut a sympathy sentiment.

pattered with water to get those blotches..
added some pearls in matt gold

top and bottom..

stamped a verse inside

and done..

So do come and join us HERE

Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow..

luv CHRISSYxx

I like it Chrissy, not a fan of sympathy cards, they are always so depressing and don't have to be, this is gorgeous, love the colour. xx

This looks beautiful Chrissy, a great idea for those very hard to make Sympathy cards- but would work for many occasions- with a different sentiment of course! I like your story of the Happy Lady and the loud, bright cards, how lovely!

This turned out very pretty Chrissy! I love the simplicity of it and it would be great to mass produce especially when it comes to sympathy cards as they're not easy to make, so I like to have them on hand! Thanks for the inspiration!

Well I never would have thought of doing that for the card front. But it works! Beautiful card, xoxo

They are the hardest cards to make, depending I make them with themes of the person who passed away and if I didn't know that person I go with something I think the person receiving will like, either way it is the hardest card to make, I do love the results of your inking of the background and the sentiment has a lovely font to it!

Lovely sympathy card, Chrissy. Simple and yet so elegant, while being appropriately serious.
