THE DEER THAT WENT WRONG..

 Hello everyone,

Awhile ago Chris from " Here's one I made earlier " made a card, her name is linked to it, and I really wanted to case it, so I tried, by doing it my way, and messed it up.

As I didn't have a stencil of a deer head, I did have a die, so I cut that out
of the card front which left an aperture, thinking it was the right thing I'm doing here.

Then put paper on the back of the aperture ?????
okay, that's not the what I wanted but didn't figure that out yet..

added die cut branches

I'm still not awake..

gave it some gold berries and a gold sentiment and liked it...but

this is what I was really going for, I wanted it open

with the patterned paper behind there was no place to write, so I made a tag with the said paper and writing can be on the back of that..
What a nightmare and a lot of time fluffing about.
but at the end of this I actually liked both of them, so there you go..
Thank you so much for stopping by..

luv CHRISSYxx

I think you've done a great job Chrissy, both of these look gorgeous (I like the open one best too!) adding the tag to write the message on is a good idea and solves the problem.
Thanks for the mention, :) xx

I think you are like me: our brains get high figuring out our own way to make things, even if it's a CASE, we wouldn't be able to do it haha. I call it being organic. Both cards are fab, love them. xoxo

Both beautiful cards, love the stately stags head and p, paper. The second one was definitely worth the effort.

They are so lovely, the scenes on the papers are so pretty and I like how you can see them through the deer, great idea with the tag too for the sentiment!

The way you walked through the mishap made the finished cards even more charming. The aperture stag with the patterned paper peeking through has such a striking, serene feel, and the added branches and gold accents give it real presence. The tag solution works beautifully too, turning the design challenge into a thoughtful feature. Both versions have their own appeal, and the process behind them makes them even more fun to see.
