MALE OR FEMALE SMALL JOURNAL

 Hello everyone,

Sometimes ( lots of times ) I just want to play and make something as I go, no thinking involved, by, thinking ahead what it will end up like, I just fold card stock or cut and envelope by mistake ( that is coming up ) . and just going with the flow.

On this day I folded a card in half

then did it again and glue the together..

started making mats and pockets..

then took a 10 min recess while I gazed at these papers
wondering if this is the day I may cut into them..

and I did, and covered the panels and pockets..

Ephemeras I made ages ago, little envelopes with
6x6 papers and tags..

and in they went..

one or two of them made it..

then my Tim Holtz paper dolls came out to play..

Well, that sit down for a while didn't happen,
not in my craftroom anyway..

front

Lots of embellishments, stickers, ephemeras, from different sets..

I love to add envelopes too, they hold surprises..

and using tiny black velcro dots for closures

then I had a play making a closure for the book my using my wooden cogs and gearts.

inked then and layered them up..

quite a few layers..

then they were lovely and thick and rusty looking

and added onto the elastic tie holding the booklet together

Added a few more bits to the cove and I was done..

So, there's another one and so much fun, just doing stuff..
Thank you so much for stopping by..I'm off for a walk to the shops, such a nice brisk Autumn  day..

I'll see you soon..

luv CHRISSYxx

You just amaze me with your talent for sure, love the design you came up with, with many places to tuck things away, your tags are amazing, now you got me wanting those papers :) Gorgeous ephemera and placement of everything. Love your rusted looking gears and how you layered them too!

Your layered construction feels wonderfully spontaneous with the folded base, pockets, and mats building into a compact journal full of movement, and the mix of ephemeras, tiny envelopes, and tags adds a playful sense of discovery while the paper dolls bring in a nostalgic focal point, and the stacked inked cogs on the elastic closure create a clever, tactile finish that suits the adventurous feel of the whole piece.

Another brilliantly concocted masterpiece! I'm telling you right now if you wanna make a mint, just "ink up" a few thousand of those cogs same look and sell for $20 a piece. WOW! How in the world did you get them to look that gorgeous by inking? I would swear you hand-painted them with acrylics or paint pens! xoxo

Another stunning project! It's amazing to me that you can make something so pretty without a plan. If I tried that, it'd be an utter mess. :-)
