Hello everyone,
I'll start by saying thank you for the nice get well comments re my back, unfortunately it is not that much better, I thought it was but I think the pain relief told to believe that so I stopped taking so much pain relief, until this morning when it bit me again so I'm struggling this Wednesday morning sitting in, should I say, Holly's chair writing my post, but I will get there..
This week at LITTLE RED WAGON it is our lovely Kate who is hostess with her theme of..
New York State of Mind - urban scenes or travel, skylines etc..
I was a little stumped for awhile and treated the theme loosely by making a travelling booklet..
I made theses ephemera pieces using pictures and stickers and layered them all up.
paper matted..
Holtzy papers..
cut them,,,shock horror, but had to be done..
Then folded brown card stock
hinged them together..
and added hessian to the spine for movement..
made and inked up tags
oh no, it got stuck together and I made a mess..
This time ephemera made with stickers and also hidden paper clips..
these a great fun in a book.
So here we go..
just pictures unless I find something to mention.
other wise we could be here all day..
coat button from garage sale purchases, 5 of them for 10cents
vellum envelopes from Temu and lots of stamping..
fixed the mess I made..
made flip downs as well as flip ups..
so many tickets
and back to the beginning..
so do come and join us HERE
Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you soon..
Luv CHRISSYxx

Well Chrissy, you weren't stumped for long!! An amazing project- I love your journals, always so beautifully put together with so many clever details and hidden surprises to enjoy.
Sorry your back is still giving you gip. I had a similar problem (apparently mine is caused by arthritis, wear and tear...because I'm old!!) I found a few sessions of acupuncture really helped- it's pretty good at the moment.
xx
Wow, such an awesome booklet, Chrissy. Hope Holly wasn't mad at you that you used his chair...lol
this is great and it looks gorgeous Chrissy..........gr karin
First of all I have to say you have my full sympathy re-the back problem, omg its the worse it really is and once its gone you just have to thank the heavens, I hope it soon goes I really do.
Right onto this fabulous creation of yours. What a cracker Chrissy, love it, really love the fold out and all the gorgeous papers etc; so clever.
Take care and grab some ice packs, that what my physio girls had me do. xx
Wow Chrissy this is absolutely stunning. So many tuck spots, envelopes, windows. It's just amazing what you can conjure up for us!! Sorry to hear your back is still painful. Try a heated blanket if you can stick it. That was the first thing that helped me along with gentle stretches every half hour!
Fabulous journal Chrissy and hope your back feels better soon. Love all the papers-flip ups -flip down -ephemera and all the stamping elements-brilliant.

Ohhh, I'm sorry to read about your back. No fun at all!! I hope it's feeling better by the time you read this.
What a clever idea for the challenge. It worked out so wonderfully - and nobody would be any the wiser to your "oops"! Your journal really is fantastic!
Fabulous travel album, you always have such cool ephemera and images, the tickets are cool too, neat faux stamps and love those papers from Tim :)
I don't know if you have ever used Salonpas patches or not, but they sure work wonders on my back and knees
Your travelling booklet looks incredible with all the layered ephemera, tags, tickets and hidden clips creating such a full and interactive feel, and I love how you mixed the Holtzy papers with the brown cardstock and hessian spine to give it that rugged vintage look while the flip ups, flip downs, vellum envelopes and stamped details keep every page feeling like a new little discovery, all coming together into a wonderfully textured and adventurous take on the theme.
What a splendid book, Chrissy! So many wonderful details...including the fix! I hope your back heals quickly!
I love it when you mess up, somehow it always turns out so beautiful. This is an amazing travel booklet, just perfect for the challenge.
❤️🥰 what a gorgeous design x
Awesome, Chrissy! Love everything about it. And how you recovered from the goof (don't we all have those sometimes). I hope your back is better soon.
Hey Chrissy, so sorry to have gone awol, been busy with the houses. I hate to hear your back has not cooperated, so hoping it will have by the time I make my way to the current post. You are a real pro at these books, even when you mess up you fix it better. So cool! xoxo
