EPHEMERA PLAYING CARDS..

 Hello everyone,

I know, I'm back already and after cleaning up my files renaming a few and sorting things out, I'm now officially organized..and found this folder marked to be watermarked ( TBW) and it already was..DUH!!

So here we go...

first up, I made these cute little envelopes with gorgeous 6x6 papers
that Janette sent me for my birthday//

and they are quite small and barely hold a playing card.
but that is what I wanted..

Which led me into playing with playing cards..

again,
I don't know why I took this photo, I just did.

anyway, out came the tissue and glued it down and scrunched it up a bit

deliberately..

then sprayed brown ink on them and not gently,
they got squirted!

packaging..yum,
but watch it, it bites older skin.

No rules with how many layers or what you gather to be glued together,
just go for it...layer one, packaging.

layer 2..stickers, nature stickers all burnt and roughed around the edges.
I didn't do that, that is how they came, if I did it, I would have probably burnt the house down..

Layer 3..a flower.

layer 4,
A chipboard or light card  lady from several sets.

looking pretty good..but one more thing..
side tabs and a number..

and done..
What a great way to fill the morning, or an hour or two ,if not less,
it was fun and I'll do it again once these are used up..

So there you go..
Thank you so much for stopping by..

Luv CHRISSYxx

Glad you found a use for those papers Chrissy. These are brilliant as all your creations are, you find a use for just about everything. I have looked at that weird packing paper many times but never got to use it, but you have given me ideas, thankyou. xx

Oh wow those are so cool, you wouldn't know they started out as playing cards, love the ladies with the pretty flowers, the tabs were a nice accent to add with them!

What an inventive and playful idea in your ephemera playing cards, and the way you layered the vintage pieces with the bold numbers creates a fun mixed media look while the distressed edges and added texture give each card a strong, artistic personality.
