CHRISTMAS #10

 Hello everyone,

Today, where I live in NZ, is the 1st of December and I'm card making done...present shopping, done, present wrapping done, food in freezer, done, tree decorated, not done, don't have a tree, but my fake fig tree has pretty lights on it and I will spend the rest of today decorating my table that no one sits at, with ornaments I saved, gnomes and red table cloth, candles and other such things and it be pretty for Christmas...I go prep and cook and eat at my daughters again this year and all will be well..

Another card box, this time for my friend who has dementia and does not know it..she rings me and leaves the funniest messages as sometimes I just cannot talk to her, other days I take her out and we have a good time but she never remembers it, and I'm so surprised she is still living alone at her home without care or home help just a son who pops in when he can..and as they say, there is no room at the inn, so there is no place available to take her.so we all do our best.

All blues and whites for Aileen and a touch of silver..
The Deer die is new and for once, facing the right way, so now I two, one facing the right, and one facing the left..

This one has no pocket, and the lid does not shut flat as I trimmed the box and forgot that the lid is now a fraction too high, but it is still pretty and I will pop in the shortbread.
The ribbon up top helps to pull the card out as it can be tricky to get it out..

I used wood slices on this one and pinecones too, all with a painting
of texture paste snow..

Card out of the box

Side on with the depth..

And back to the beginning..

So there you go, getting near the end..

thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow..

CHRISTMAS #9..

 Hello everyone,

Back sharing a few more Christmas card/boxes..this one is for my hairdresser..

More snowman pictures, I photocopied them all so I will always have a set in my stash..
This is another card box, 1 1/2 inches deep, room for some baked goodies..

Nestled inside is the card and of course a pocket with a tag...
pocket has fancy edge die cut..

Tag out..

card out, and plastic snowflake bag showing under that ready for shortbread..

inside card and another pocket with tag..

tag out..

love these bags from Temu, great size can fit a slimline card inside so I feel a snowflake shaker coming on!!

and back to the beginning...the papers I liked very much so copied them as I only had 2 sheets
so printed a lot to make this box..then I used white paint around the edges, splattered snow ink, and added die cuts..

A lot of fun to make and a good way to use up 12x12 cardstock off the back of scrapbook paper pads that I save..

So there you go..

Thank you so much for stopping by, hope you have everything under control for you know what that's getting closer and closer..

Tomorrow is the 1st.....just saying.

See you tomorrow..

 Hello everyone,

Great for it, whatever "it"  maybe..I'm off shopping with my ( NEW) grandaughter who calls me Nana straight away, without hesitation for a young girl, so nice, and she taking me out after I've done my daughters housework, for lunch and a bit of shopping..

But right now, we have a new challenge over at As You Like It  and Brenda is a our lovely hostess this week and the theme is..GOLD..SILVER..GLITTER..,

For me..gold..and to play with your brain, I'm using an Easter card..because I had the actual card for this challenge  in the wrong folder and lost it, this one I never shared, so here it is.

.

Simple really...made an egg shape

Cut it in half with fancy oval die..

Sorted and edged some scraps of DP..and another lacy fancy curved die..

See, so pretty.

loads of foam tape, that's the rules..

Popped that down on the gold stripe..

That's going on there..

Die cut cute bunnies with black gem eyes and rosy pink cheeks..

Flowers..

and up the top...

Gold die cut letters and it was done..

Thank you to our fabulous sponsor with a $10 prize..

NON TRADITIONAL WINTER HOLIDAY..DT

 Hello everyone,

Well, this challenge threw a spanner in my thought wheel.

It is time for a new challenge over at LITTLE RED WAGON and our JanR is hostess and she rattled my brain, and the reason is this image and colour popped in my head straight away but didn't want to do it, I tried to do something else but this was swimming around in my grey matter.

So here we go..

This crazy gal went for a holiday and forget she was going to a winter wonderland and only had her togs with her, she has gone blue with the cold but still pulls off a pose...

I made a video but my PC acts up and I cant get them to play, but She is on a wobbler like she is shivering..

so do come and join us here

thank you so much for stopping by,
I'll see you tomorrow..

CHRISTMAS #8..

 Hello everyone,

Sunday morning as I'm writing this post and it has been misting with rain all night and this morning and so beautiful..all the plants are loving the fine mist and I'm sure I saw one or two grow, the beans are travelling up and over the frame and curled themselves  into Ross's camellia, but he won't care..

Rightio then, Christmas project #8.. another box card, this time for my friend who loves bees..

She also loves the vintage style, so I tried hard..
This is the box front..

Box card open and her card inside with lots of dimension,
 bells, leaves and pinecones..

Tag out of it's pocket..

Under the card is a makeup bag with a big Bee on it..
and room for shortbread under that..

Card open and a beautiful birdie on a tag..

and the tag out of it's pocket..

Back to the front, everything was splattered with white paint
for snow..

So there you go...

Some I cannot show until just after Christmas in case the girls snoop, they do you know,
but have a few more to share coming up..
Thank you so much for stopping by..

I'll see you tomorrow..

CHRISTMAS # 7

 Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and happy, shopping nearly done and getting things in order for next month..I'm nearly finished, just a few things I'm waiting for, posting cards off next week, and YIKES, the postage has gone up again..you would think that the postal service would make a bucket load of money if they did a Christmas postage special,,10 or more cards half price..or a flat rate 2 buks each..just saying.

So here we are, Christmas #7..

A card box?....or box card?..

I have made a lot of these for local handing out this year, I can fit a whole package of shortbread inside, the card on top and it makes a lovely gift..

I have a pocket inside the lid and with a tag inside..

pom pom trims, die cuts, sentiments, snow banks and snowflakes..

inside the card, another pocket and tag..

the tag out and plenty of room to write...

Holly leaves and berries and such lovely colourful snowman.

So there you go..
Thank you so much for stopping by.
I'll see you tomorrow..

MONO..DT

 Hello everyone,

Wednesday has sprung into action and I'm hostess over at Little Red Wagon  and my theme for all is..  MONOCHROMATIC - use only one colour but all shades, and if the background sneaks in another colour, but only a lit bit, I wont look.

Here is my project...

I scored these cute little badges in a dollar shop and thought they would make neat baby embellishments..

I also got some new papers...

and die cut all these outfits, that I shared awhile ago..

paper pieced, lots of them.

but this one is for a baby boy and I went with all the blues I could fine..

but on closer inspection I saw colour in my background papers,
so that's why I'm being a kind hostess this week and letting some soft colours sneak through..

I love these cute overalls and remember my boys wearing them..

I love the die cut letters in navy..
last time I used army green and it worked a treat them too.

and I added a little boat....done!

So come on over and play HERE

Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow..
