NEW YEAR CARD

 Hello everyone,

Just popped on to share this card that I was asked to make.

Art Deco New Year 2026...

Started with panels and a slight idea of what was going to happen..

I die cut my bottle out of acetate and added half of it with wine coloured card stock.

You can see the bottle here, but even in real life ,

unless you tilt it you can't really see it..and those dam blotches..

that was Imagine Shimmer spray, it came out in blobs!!!

Cut the lady out in black added and white highlights to the grapes.

This charm is from an actual wine bottle 

I just had to make it smaller..

and there she is..

The only place I could put the sentiment so she wasn't floating.

I struggled...

PS..I finished the Steampunk clock, just the face, it is getting set into a very thick fob watch frame..

RIVER OF DREAMS...DT

 Hello everyone,

Are you into the swing of things yet? finding you way into the new year and getting back into postings....I'm struggling, only a little bit, my days can blur, my son has gone away for work and I'm tending the garden by myself and the days are floating on by and I have not accomplished much..PLUS it was so hot the other day 37oC and down the land a bit 41oC ...crazy..

BUT..today is cooler and I'm going to walk to the shops I don't drive anymore as my eyes wont let me..and it is time for a new challenge at LITTLE RED WAGON where our lovely Kate is hostess with the theme...

River of Dreams ( nightmare, dreaming or even nightmares)

I thought for quite awhile on this one but settled with the idea of a dream catcher

and knew I had this image in my files and never used it..I bought it originally for my eldest Son's

birthday but he was more into cars and stuff so went with that..

I ran out of this card stock, the teal colour so have to improvise

by cutting what was left into strips.

Kraft mat with the teal behind,

and added my strips of teal and waiting for glue to set.

Then the feather idea came so die cut and inked to match

what was in the picture.

added a gem and was really happy with the colour of the feathers and gem..

Added a simple quote " Dream with limitless possibilities "

and done..

LETS HERE IT FOR THE BOYS..

 Hello everyone,

I've been a bit slack on my blog, but I've been busy editing ( for a better word ), photo albums for a friend adding new photos, scrapbook style, and now making a clock, which I think I will be able to share, it is not so personal...but when I had down time I made a couple of cards..for men as some new dies for Christmas turned up and ephemeras, and die cuts, and papers, and so many things from my son, he did good in his shopping spree.

This one, the papers are not new but the wave is and the yacht

and when the bits fell out of the wave I added up top for wind.

A very simple card except for the sail that cuts off 

and you need to put it where it belongs..

Next, this one for the golfer in your life..

not hard, but my ball got a wobble in it and for life of

me I could not get it out, and then remembering what my husband use to tell me, 

his golf balls were all imperfect.

I also had a play on the word " For "

So there you go..that took two mins so back to the clock..STEAMPUNK STYLE!!

HAPPY NEW ??..DT

 Hello everyone,  and welcome to the new year 2026 and new challenge for Little Red Wagon and the theme is HAPPY NEW ??..you choose, anything you want, could house, baby, new year, anything new, even craft goodies, new craft goodies..yum..and our lovely Brenda is first up as hostess this year..

I'm sharing a new beginning of life in a slightly different way,..

I found this skeleton leaf and must admit I starred at it for quite awhile

before I came up with an idea but not for this challenge it was for something else..

I folded a card base and made 2 matts in kraft with a single score line

around the edges.

Glued the center vein ..

added a white oval inside to write on..

needed a butterfly and believe it or not, this was how I open the container, 

right on top was exactly what I needed..

Glued him on and was so pleased with the simplicity of it..

even the tiny tear in the leaf, loved it.

Needed gems though but nothing too fancy and shiny, 

and I have had theses from Rosies studio for so many long years they had nearly lost all their sticky.

But with the help of a spot of glue they were stuck and I loved them too..

a simple sentiment " To new Beginnings " and done..

I could pick several occasions for this to go, but will let the buyer choose..

 Hello everyone, 

Into day 4 of the new year here and time to get posting on my blog..I've been so busy relaxing, laying on the couch and watching movies, very little crafting, just tidying up and finishing off a few bits ready to really get in and do stuff..

ATC time..these were group water coloured...

I did browns, greens purples etc..and decided for this post and theme

I would go purple..

My Whimsey stamps die with all those hearts was such a quick and easy way

 to get all the hearts you needed.....in gold?

Gold..mmm...

I used that negative die cut to add these hearts as a stencil on my ATC's

and Monte Marte texture paste...worked really well, 

and it lasted for the 6 cards before it flopped and got difficult.

THEN....I found this off cut in my bottom drawer

and die cut some hearts..

and was sold...they were perfect in colour..

see..

Then a simple love word die cut out and I was done..

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026

 Hello everyone..

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and wishing you a Happy New Year 2026..

I had a pretty good year last year but feel this one going to be even better, always the optimist.

I had some wonderful wins and top threes last year in challenges and these one were the latest..

Always a feather in your hat when you win or get top 3, 5 ,or anything else..

just makes my day..

Holly has been enjoying the warm ( Stinking hot ) weather..

and still annoying me daily be sprawling on my craft table..

But of course I wouldn't be without here..

So onwards and upwards we go, with another year filled with crafting everyday,

I love my life..

So have good one and enjoy..and

Challenge # 839 AND LAST OF THE YEAR..

 Hello everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and looking forward to the new year 2026..

This is our last challenge of the year  for Little Red Wagon and our JanR is hostess and her theme is..

Use the Force - die cuts, embossing, letterpress, foiling etc all those things that goes through your machine and gets squashed into submission..

Does this look like another Christmas journal?

No, it is not, it is one card for four children..

The first picture it the card closed and had to be tied as I got carried away with die cuts, and snow, and embossing, and stuff..

there they all are..so cute and went down really well. with the kids.

I printed their names onto the Santa sack that I found and had for years..

just put it into my editing program and done.
