 Hello everyone,

Last mushroom project for now, this is my purple one, and a retirement card..

Purple time..

Same papers, but!..when I ordered more as I loved them so much, these accidently jumped in my cart too, they are fabulous masculine style papers...

For the purple mushrooms, I went with a shaker, a round one.
Same concept, using a cellophane bag and gluing in the back with the shakers stuff in it, but added a round frame on the front.

So here's all my bits..

My papers..

After cutting a hole in the front of my card base I then cut one in the papers to match, or hopefully.

Went through my corrugated card stock and found a strip for my snail to slide over..

lots of layers going on with this one..

and took a bit of work sticking everything down..

But the shaker was working perfeclty..

And all done...

Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow..

 Hello everyone.

This is part two of my water colouring day, a bit busy, but it was a request so I went with it..

I always do as I'm told, or pretend to, sometimes, I change things up and say "That's what I thought you said"...and quite often get away with it...A lot of my customers are older than me, and think they know what they want, but really, they don't, colours dont always work together, and styles are not usually mixed and some projects can look just awful, horrible, and then the complaints sneak in," Oh, I didn't think it would look like that", so that's when I change things a bit.'..

So this one was a busy one, but I get what she meant and went with it for her, sentiment was added at a later date when ones mind was made up!!..

These were my finished babies and a lady turned up and saw them and loved the second lot of red mushrooms for her friend who was a mad gardener and made sure his mushroom/toadstools were protected in a specific part of his garden.

So here we were after picking out the shrooms, saw red netting, needed that,
a die cut oval embossed, needed that, very patterned papers, needed that..
and off she went with slight encouragement for me..

Down to business, I cut my panels..

layered them up..

This was the embossed panel using an oldie but goodie embossing folder from cuttlebug.

On went the netting, ferns and shrooms..

I had roughed up the edges a bit..

Stick you little blighters..

It has dimension..

and splatters..

Then deleted the wrong picture in my file when editing, and ended up with this one..
without the splatters..

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading the drama, do you ever have people asking you to make stuff then telling you how and what to do!!..

I'll see you tomorrow..

 Hello everyone,

What a great day just water colouring, making a mess and playing with my mushrooms..

I did some die cutting with water paper..

and played with paint and water..

My palette got into a terrible mess, but easy clean,
water it and pat with paper towels, works pretty good..

So back to painting, lots of water and reds and oranges, and even yellows..

Love these mushrooms, even left the little ones a brown/ grey colour..

Die cut some ferns in different green card stock.

and some I even painted..

painted the snails and started on another colour..

Purples, with dark grey and touches of black..

I love this snail too, he slimes into a lot of my projects these days..

and then it was all done and dry...such a great day..

The Next Day..

Then played with the red mushrooms first, to go with my new gorgeous
Mintay papers Basic 12 ..Backgrounds fForal Wood

Picking papers were the hardest as I loved them all but didn't want to cut them!!

But I did it, [and went online and bought another pad or two..]

I distressed the edges of the panels

and wood embossed a kraft oval panel..

Added the mushrooms and some fern leaves..

not too dimensional..

and made it into a Get Well for a friend..

Not sure why I put those top mushrooms on there, it bothers me, but I have let it go..

So there we go..
Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow..

Ellibelle's crafty Wednesday  [ anything goes]

 Hello everyone,

Wednesday today and time for another challenge over at LITTLE RED WAGON  and JanR is hostess again this week and this time her theme is "LAYER UPON LAYER - at least 3 layers..

I know it sounds intimidating, but it isn't, a flower can be a layer, stickers, ephemera , papers, inks they are all layers, so give it a whirl and come over and play with any project you like, not just cards...

I started with papers and an odd strip of stripes down the side, then a stencil.

The modelling paste, love this stuff, don't use it enough.

When that was dry I sprayed it with distress inks..

inside and out..

inside glued down..

Now a penny farthing but I wanted a man on it, so printed one out, hoped the size was right, fussy cut him..

Onto his bike.. have you been counting the layers ??

This strip of paper was from same paper pad, just cut it and stuck it..
and added some die cut cogs, that were inked.

After all those layers and things, it is not dimensional at all..

And here we are all done..

So, bring your layers and come play.

Pop quiz, how many layers did I achieve?

Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow..

9 was the answer, well done..
