EMBOSSED PANELS AND WAXES..

 Hello everyone,

I embossed a panel of water paper  and then started adding water colours in random ways to make something interesting..

even though I lost it once or twice I managed  to bring it back.

And ended up with a lovely shade of teal blue and green..

When it was really good and dry I rubbed over the raised embossing with a beautiful soft wax..

And It came out like this...

So I cut an oval out with it, sorted out my papers and flowers..

So pretty...

And made this....

A close up of the embossing and colours...

And the leaves I made last week matched really well...

I had the left over buds from another project and slotted them in..

Quite dimensional...

A side view of the card...

And another one..then decided it needed a box..

So I made a box using up scraps of papers, a couple of leaves and more flowers...

I have since found better cardstock for making boxes,
so I'm pleased about that as it is hard to get here.

So there we go, thank you so much for stopping by, and I will see you tomorrow..

SAND OR SEA..DT

 Hello everyone,

I'm in my room today playing with water colour, paints, perfect pearls, oxide inks, water paints [kids set]..and anything else I can add water to..just having fun..

But for now, lets check out our new challenge at LITTLE RED WAGON and this week it is our lovely..

BRENDA who is our hostess and her theme is.. SAND OR SEA - OCEAN OR BEACH THEME

Oh, right up my street and I did go a bit under the sea, but there is sand!!..real sand.

I made this Seahorse months ago, it didn't work properly as I only had clay and it was so difficult getting the clay in all the little bits, especially the tail...so fixed that with a wooden cog!..

I made starfish too, they were easier and the fish, I just didn't use the fish for this project, they will be coming later..

So for my background I used kids water paint set and a very long tag and just started layering up the paint..

Ooo..this is when it started looking quite good and I got excited...

Then it did this too....

And this is where it went and I stopped...

Onto the real fun stuff, onion bag netting, giant glass bubbles, sand and shells...

Hot glued them down, gosh, I love those onion bags and have collected four more just lately, no ones onion bags are safe when I'm around..

A close up of the ocean bottom..

An artsy shot..

My seahorse re painted and sprayed and little nut added in the center of the cog..

Dimension shot....plenty of that and really heavy..

A real close up of the tiny white micro beads..

And also the gold ones on the seahorse..

And my final project which I love and going to put it on my wall somewhere..

So there we go, get those seaside, ocean, beach, projects made and pop on over and enter the challenge  HERE

Before I go here is a joke for you...

Why does the Ocean roar??

Because the crabs keep biting his bottom....

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Oh dear, it takes all sorts to make the world go round doesn't it..

Thanks so much for stopping by, I'll see you tomorrow..

BEHIND THE DOOR..

 Hello everyone,

It is a lot cooler today and I'm thankful for that as the Autumn weather, like Spring, is unpredictable and yesterday we shot up to 30oC - 90F I did not know where to put myself as I had let my guard down ready for Winter..so it was a craft room day, not productive in card making but lots of prep..

Today I'm sharing a project I made the other day..it is for a challenge at Gecko Galz - Secret Garden..

I chose my picture to use and glued it onto a piece of card stock, scored and folded in the ends..

Then die cut wood grain papers into a circle...

Glued it onto the flaps..and trimmed.

Added spellbinders hinges [die cuts]

Another blast from the past was this Martha Stewart leaf punch..

Then added hanging vines over the door..

And some brad door knobs..

an ephemera butterfly..

Open the doors and all the punched flowers and leaves on the inside..

It stands up too and another ephemera butterfly inside..

SPORTS TAG..

 Hello everyone..

It has been awhile since I played at Tag Tuesday but thought I would have a play this fortnight as I won the challenge over a Gecko Galz Blog last week and had a spending spree over at their store and got loads of vintage style images, so much fun, so I even selected lots of manly images..

So here is my vintage car racing tag..

I printed out quite a few images keeping them small and cut them and glued them down onto my black tag..

Sealed all over and let dry...

Cut all the edges and then added those edges back onto the tag and dried really well...

added car tire tread with black Archival ink and stamp..

And this is the stamp, it is really a border stamp but looks so much like a tire tread..

Added my twine...

Which I attempted to braid...

Then I added my judges standing on the sideline..and the GO stickers and Tim Holtz black thin stickers which say..."Today is full of possibilities"
    "Adventures awaits you"..

A close up od the judges, I have added white gel pen hightlights here and there to bring them to the front..

And the finished tag..

Thank s so much for stopping by, I will see you tomorrow..
