UNDER THE SEA CANVAS

.

Hello Everyone...

Still no mojo...he has really packed a sad and left me..
I have been in my craft room just tidying things and pottering about and NOTHING!!...

This canvas I made weeks ago and it is time to show it now...

The light was not the best for photos ...but I quite like the ocean darkness.

Covered the canvas in gesso and the added texture paste through a stencil to make loads of bubbles..

Then water paint was added..pale green..then blue with lots of water and allowed to dry..

The Seahorses were from Delicious Doodles coloured with Copics then fussy cut out and modge podged into place..then the glass bubbles were added..

Corrugated card stock for the ocean floor and a sprinkling of dazzling diamonds [which scratch and can be quite painful]...but very pretty.

All the buttons along the bottom are vintage buttons and given to me by a client..

The netting is a kiwi fruit bag....fish are clay...and the plants a very soft chipboard that do not like to be messed with, and fall to bits very easily..so only gesso on these with some gems .

This is a real starfish [ the brown one that my grandson collected for me..and the button above [white] looks just like bubbles..I have such a thing for bubbles....

A close up of some of the buttons..

Challenges to enter....

QKR Stampede   [Swimming]

The mirror Crack'd   [Canvas]

Inspiration Destination  [anything goes]

Suppose I better go now..thanks so much for stopping by...and if you see a blond/grey mojo with glasses lurking around some street corner, please kick his butt back home..

luv CHRISSYxx

Oh, this is fantastic, Chrissy! I'm not good at adding lots of bits and bobs, I think I most of the time make a mess, so I've been studying your photos closely to get some clues on how to do this. There's so much detail on here, I think everything looks just perfect.

Such a fabulous canvas Chrissy, love how you've created this gorgeous underwater scene, the techniques used and all the carefully chosen elements combine to make this very special!
Hope Mr Mojo is back where he belongs now but if not my advice is to forget him and read a good book, he'll soon come back if you ignore him for a bit!

This is gorgeous Chrissy and I like all the little gems and shells which add to the perfect little sea scene.
Don't worry about the mojo... it will be back. Mine disappears from time to time too and then the self-doubt rears it's ugly head but not to worry, the mojo is just lurking in the background!
You are way too talented and creative for it to just disappear.

What a fantastic mixed media piece, Chrissy... I'm loving this new journey of yours. The bubble background is stunning, and I love all the seashore elements nestled in the sand at the bottom, as well as those fabulous seaweed flowers. Brilliant!

I think Mr Mojo just needs a rest - he was clearly working overtime on these projects!

This is completely stunning Chrissy. You clearly weren't struggling with your mojo when you created this, so hopefully it's only a little shy and will come out of hiding again really soon!

I love all the gorgeous detail and you are right the poorer light actually enhances your fabulous underwater scene. Giggled at your description of your chipboard plants and how they don't like to be messed with. All in all a gorgeous visual delight.

Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us
