Hello Everyone...
Time for a new challenge over at 613 AVENUE CREATE and this month we want you to..
" SPOTLIGHT "
..for our twist challenge..optional of course, but why not...
To be honest, I'm not sure if this is right or wrong, but I like it and had so much fun doing it..
The flower was cut out from the centre of my image because I was not sure how to do it..then coloured with my markers and popped up on foam squares. backed with black card and popped back in the middle of the image..
I heat embossed the sentiment in gold and added Nuvo gems on each end..the sentiment stamp is from a Kaiserkraft set.
So there we go...thank you so much for stopping by, hope your weekend is going well and I will see you is a couple of days...4 more sleeps and I have 15 days off work..cannot wait...
Luv CHRISSYxx

Simply Stunning card Chrissy, lovely spotlight coloring!
Wow this is so pretty Chrissy! I think you've done a perfect job with this spotlight technique my dear! The red color in the flowers look so dramatic and I love the layout with the sentiment strip across it! HUGS
A beautiful card Chrissy. The Spotlight technique I taught in a class is stamp the image twice. Then have one uncoloured as the base topper. You then pick an area that you want to colour on the other stamped image. Then when coloured using a small circle die, cut out the area you have coloured. You then attach the coloured circle to the base image, matching the leaves etc to the non- coloured one. A bit like decoupage. So the end result is, you have 'Spotlighted' an area of the image with colour and no backing on the circle is needed. Hope you understand my waffle!! Big hugs, Carol S.xxxx
Chrissy, that is BEAUtiful! Love your coloring - and the colors you chose to use are stunning! Just pops off the page. And, for the record, you did a classic spotlight perfectly! Lots of variations available, but your version is as close to the original definition as you can get - well done!

Wow, this is stunning Chrissy and you have nailed the spotlight technique here xx
What a striking card
This is a gorgeous example of the spotlight technique. Wow. Love the contrast of the colored image vs the non colored part.
I think your take on the spotlight theme is great - those colours coming into vivid focus in the high beam of the circular frame - very clever!
