Hello everyone,
I've been a bit busy but managed to finish off this project I started weeks ago..and also I'm so very sorry there is so many pictures, I just kept taking pictures then couldn't whittle them down..and all because I needed an ice cream and then this box just said to me...alter me, go on....so I did.
it folds flat and still does..
but I had to cut off all the flaps top and bottom..
then I could have painted it, but didn't, and glued navy card stock on every side..
inside, outside on the sides, back and front.
okay, it needs help to stay down but it still goes into an envelope, bigger than normal though.
So now the front needs snow..
and the back..
top flap..
Those tricky little bits to stick things too..
then splattered..
all over..
I did a huge amount of die cutting..
and used cello tape on the back of the sleigh so I could inlay black details..
See..
then built up my wagon...
and die cut candle holders..
inked the edges, always makes a difference.
cut some candles and coloured the flame..
and added melted wax..
put the flowers [ poinsettias] together
gave the leaves a bit of pinching to shape them..
Then the edges of those got some snow treatment with modelling paste,
but lovely soft modelling paste..
Then made a sleigh cluster..
put the straw in the wagon...
added a cluster with a cute robin..
and a bigger robin on the sleigh..
Fussy cut an owl from Stampmeria papers and added flower and leaves
with him on the side of the box..
Making a cluster to go inside the box..
and in it went right front and center..
Die cut a sentiment, but it gets a bit lost, may have to fix that..

and done...
Think this one will stay at home, we'll see..
