I JUST WANT TO PAINT..

Hello Everyone..

Well, I thought it was high time that I tried a journal page..I have seen many many pages, I have you tubed them and watched videos, I tried once, but just never quite got the hang of it, I love them and really wanted to try..so I did...and only because I said out loud, I just want to paint..and away I went from there..

So here goes..

I've had this pad for a long time and was ripping off pages just to paint and stuff..

Then I painted this one...

and added splatters..

And used my new Lavinia stamps, [I'm in love]

lots of inking and stamping along this border and a few cut up leaf dies..and of course the white paint spots on my toadstools..

More die cut leaves and vines for interest, all stuck down with matt medium which also seals your work so you can add shadows and stuff with Faber Castell big brush markers..

I added my printed off sentiment...

And there it is..hope it is not too artsy, I just cannot help myself by making scenes more than mixed media journalling, but I had a blast doing this and made two more straight away and I'll share those this month along the way..

Thanks so much for stopping by, linking this to these challenges..

ARTSY! But never TOO artsy! Chrissy, this is amazing! No... It's MAGICAL! I love everything about this incredible journal entry! You have made me want to get a little more motivated with my Watercolor supplies. I especially like that the fairy is in the corner, overlooking the beauty of your watercolor realm. How did you lighten her wings so successfully? So happy I saw your pretty card at Lavinia World Challenges. Hope to see more of your creations in the future.
(I am your newest google follower and would love for you to consider following me)

Oh wow! This is absolutely stunning, Chrissy... I'm so happy you took the leap and look where it took you. I can't imagine what you mean by "too artsy" - artsy artistic artwork, all just words. What this does is take me into a magical fairyland. The colours are completely magical, as are those mushrooms and the luscious trailing vines, and of course the golden spatter.

Such a good idea to say it out loud before starting. I hope you will follow your instinct/desire to "just paint" more often. It suits you!

When I make a background, like the one you started with, Im unable too see how it can be transformed into something magical like your finished page. I give up before I’ve actually really started. Therefor I find it very inspiring and useful to see how something is created, step by step. Thanks for sharing this, the page is wonderful and with lots of beautiful details.
