PROJECT NUMBER TWO..ANCHOR

 Hello everyone,

Back with  Under the sea project #2...sunken Anchor?...can an anchor sink?

This background came out lovely and rusty looking, I really liked playing with it..

The anchor got it's moss and a border was ripped up kraft stock,
 inked and distressed...
I made a slit in the kraft border to poke the anchor inside it, instead of tucking it behind where it becomes bulky..

Added a plant and string on the anchor...

And as I die cut the octopus, I just had to use him,
plus it filled up the top..

Added a gold embossed Happy Birthday sentiment..then ripped it off as it bent,
but I was lucky and it came off without too much drama..

Added extra foam on either side of sentiment so it cruised it's way over the string...

And here it is, all done..

Thank you so much for stopping by..

I'll see you tomorrow, same time same channel..

Brilliant!! Great colours and the cute octopus looks very happy. I think anchors are meant to sink so that the ship doesn't float away!! xx

My favorite, that boat is distressed just perfectly and those sequins remind me of all floaties in water when the sun catches it. Thanks so much for sharing your process!

I absolutely LOVE this wonderful underwater scene here Chrissy!! A brilliant take with all of those elements you are doing! That anchor does look like it's heavy enough to sink and your textures look so lovely on your slimline!! :)
