Hello everyone,
More recycling form leftover cardboard box flaps, smaller this time and turned them into bookmarks...
So, these were the smaller flaps, 4 of them and white gessoed for starters..
this with a dry brush and it brings out the ridges.
then splattered, oh, yummy.
Out with my case of Ephemera..
Made four little bunches each with a winged critter.
Probably add some bits, but this was the start..
Dimension, leftover card stock that is too small for much else, all glued together, done.
Placed all these clusters of florals onto the tags.
Then add some tiny die cut leaves, bits that had torn off
and just poked them in all around for a filler..
See..
Then stapled postage stamps [not real ones, I googled them and printed them out]
They all were given two stamps each..
Placed in different places..
Some up top, some down lower...
Then all four were ready for their ribbon..
And there they are...
One...
Two,,
Three..
And four..
I made the word bookmark on the PC and printed them out, backed them with black card for a
POP..
So, there we go..
Thank you so much for stopping by, I'll see you tomorrow..

What a great way of organizing your Ephemera, Chrissy! Loving these "cardboard" tags, and the splattering done BEFORE all the artsy stuff is added. Beautiful!

More yummy cardboard creations! Beautiful! (BTW, I keep my ephemera in the same type of organizer).

Brilliant idea and transformation of leftover cardboard pieces. They are beautifully decorated, you've got a great eye for how to cluster things. The yellow ribbon is also a pretty, colorful detail.
Oh my! These are stunning bookmarks, Chrissy!!! I love how you're upcycling something that could easily go in the bin, into something useful AND esthetically pleasing. I've found a new use for cardboard, too. I used to use foam tape behind my die-cuts to make them stand out more. Now, I just cut the die on cardboard, glue it to the back of my die-cut and there you have it!
Extremley creative and a fabulous way to upcycle! Everything you've put together works perfectly, bravo! So glad you joined us at Creative Knockouts (apologies for my late comment)
