Hello everyone,
Well, that week flew by, probably because I was so very busy and now it is time for a new challenge over at LITTLE RED WAGON and our lovely Shani is hostess and she has a theme of " Sea You Then." anything goes as long as it about the Sea..which is one of my favourite themes.. no matter how many strokes my cat nearly gave me and then just would not move..[sigh..I love that cat]
Here is my project.......twice.
So, this is how it started, a background I made, well, actually it was a leftover from spraying and I just saved it, it fitted in the circle die just right..
Stamped and heat embossed Sebastion.
Then I made a frame, wood grain paper from my stash and a lot of inking.
After acetate was added I fill it up with the silicone beads from packaging. I get literally thousands of these packets from my son's store and pay the youngest Granson to sit and open them all..
So there they all, floating and flowing around looking like gorgeous sea foam..
No problems.......yet!
Holly just walked in........
And there she lay, not moving, no intention of moving..
and just layed down and I photographed around her, meanwhile beads were leaking out of my round shaker card, slowly at first, then ... BOOM! out they came, like a tidal wave of clear bubbles which I had to vacuum for ages to find them all, silly foam tape was too old obviously and just didn't hold.
So changed it up by adding in sequins and glued the tape this time..
And happily, added an anchor die some seaweed.
Love that beautiful green,
Added a simple gold embossed sentiment..
and some porthole Nuvo Crystal drops in brass gold..
So there go, nothing too dramatic but on the day it was...
Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow..
Luv CHRISSYxx

Just GORgeous Chrissy. Sounds as though it took you so long one way or another to get to the final card! but, well worth it.

I would probably have to pay my Grandchildren to watch at least you are lucky they did the job for you...made me lol.
How sad those lovely sea foam bits all ran away, but it turned out really well anyway. Its so different and how good of Holly to act as a stand to show it off, haha, she is so cute.xxx
Aww, your beautiful Holly makes a lovely card- rest! The card ended up looking amazing despite the 'leak':)
xx
Don't you just hate it when the shaker stuff lands all over the floor. Ugh. Great save though and I love this. The seahorse looks so real.

Love the fabulous sea shaker love the pics of Holly and obviously she came to warn you!

Love your shaker porthole with Sebastian. Such a shame that the beads leaked out of the shaker (love the photos with Holly), but the sequins are fab too. Your anchor and seaweed look stunning.

OH! I don't envy you clearing all that up, bet you find some more next week, hahaha. A GORGEOUS creation in the end Chrissy. Again so many lovely details.

Vacuuming silicone beads is probably just as fun as vacuuming sweeteners. Lost a container on the floor not long ago, they were EVERYWHERE! Lucky mishap though as I love how you added lots of green sequins and die cut detils, and porthole nails look awesome too.
Ha! Holly photobombed your card. She's a cutie! And this card, well, it's just AWESOME, Chrissy!!! I am so impressed by the work you put into your projects. I think I would find it hard to give this one away, it's so pretty. And you know, I think the second version is even better, so maybe it was meant to be. Although, a pain you had to vacuum up all the little beads from the first attempt.
that is so cool, neat to see it against your cat, lets me get an idea of how big it is :). Sorry to hear the trouble you had with the first set of beads but the end results is so pretty and your added seaweed and anchor tops it off perfectly!
LOL Holly is a character and she definitely adds to the beauty of your creation Chrissy. Oh no, I have done that before and the air has turned blue lol.
I feel your pain with the shaker mishap. I hate it when that happens! Love how you salvaged it though. You rocked this challenge! Nice of Holly to help you out by modelling your card. (:
Chrissy, this is amazing - love the shaker !

Your card is beautiful, but the addition of Holly sends it over the top. As for the mishap, Iʻm sure you will be finding little balls for quite sometime=]
Such an amazing card!! The embellishments work perfectly and so glad they're doing the trick of holding everything in your gorgeous shaker! Nothing is as gorgeous as the beautiful Holly though!
