BUILDERS DRINK COASTERS..

 Hello everyone,

What a great weekend, I had such a lovely Birthday and was spoilt rotten, even my Grandsons arrived with gifts, oh, how they grow up and mature..

I sold the first builders coasters so thought I better whip up another set as they are becoming quite popular..

I had so  much fun making my own patchwork backgrounds for my art journal pages,
I just had to do it for these coasters...

And using a glue stick, they are quick and perfect with no mess..

And there they are...BUT...

This does make the paper very thick and for small coasters, well, it makes sanding and trimming difficult and slows one down.. lesson learned.

Die cut a little tool box..

and using a hand held punch  cut out these tiny circles.

and used a black marker added a line down the center to make screw heads..

Tool boxes all lined up with its screws
and cut the saw blades in silver and the handles in red..

Holly changed position today as I yelled at her,
but enjoying the sun as well, and pretending I don't exist.

This is tray she jumped on, that is why I yelled...lol..
But all the tools cut in silver and had handles added in their colour..

Putting thing in place and made some bigger screws for the edge.

Glued down..now waiting for it to dry..

Edges sanded...

and sealed with Medium matt glue..

Done..they may look bulky a bit, but they are quite flat, maybe a lump or two where the saw handle is, but not much, they could whack it with a hammer, that would flatten it !!

So there we go, all done, thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow with nautical coasters..
