Hello everyone,
This is post number two and this time for AS YOU LIKE IT where you share your favourite and tell us why..
This fortnight Sarah is our hostess and she wants to see and hear why, which is your favourite.
.Clean or Fussy..
Well, FUSSY for me..I love a fuss and the more I can pile on the better...
I went with an easel card this time..
I made royal blue mats and some woodgrain [ which does not really float my boat ]
papers, but they were okay and needed to be used..
added stripes of scraps..
I like that colour woodgrain, but only had these scraps left..
and I made a square knot with some thick string for a stopper..
scraps of cork for the sand..
Then remembered to cut it with the die so it fits well,
and it did...phew..
My wonderful giant anchor came out to play...
and all the bits were glued together and inked...
Then die cut waves , clouds and birds, you gotta have sea birds..
and down it went!!!
can't make it work..
It's the clouds, they were awful and look over crowded..
So I ripped them off..
and the paper came too!!!!
Into my stash, and Annie, my Aussie friend ,
had sent me this die years ago, I have used it,
and today was the day it saved this card...
Cut it..
used the die to round it...
oh, no, another idea..
gave it a little inking..
and breathing evenly again...carry on.
played with the sand for quite awhile and was really pleased with how it all came out,
I was doubtful for a bit..
And here it is, and the clouds are just right now..

Gorgeous maritime easelcard, Chrissy. You did a great job by tearing off those clouds and made a new one with Annies die.
Love the anchor!

Brilliant easel card Chrissy I do love how you put everything together those papers are great so is that giant Anchor I must admit I am so glad that you took those clouds off they did look rather crowded the second option was perfection I love how you added all those fantastic embellishments to the sand it makes it look so realistic another amazing work of art

Of course it had to be fussy Chrissy- no one can pile on the layers and embellishments quite the way you do- and you always achieve such fabulous results, probably because you know exactly when to stop and aren't happy until it looks perfect- eg ripping off those clouds and thinking of another way to get the effect you wanted...as always a stunning card!
xx
