ALL ABOUT THE GROCERY BAGS..

 Hello everyone,

Hope all is well and you are getting lots of crafty time, I know I am and loving it..

I'm sharing a project I saw on You Tube, and added my own spin on it.. A " Purse Booklet"..made with brown paper grocery bags...

On You Tube Natasha from Treasure Books crafts made one with single bag, I used two.

Here we go..brace yourself.

I started off with two brown paper bags with handles and put them together..
Like so, and cut some papers to cover them but keeping the center in a fold..

Inked these panels

and glued them down..

Then with more of those papers I made some pockets and I never matched the patterns together, I
alternated them around, as you can see..
As they are from the same pad, they went together quite nicely..

This the inside of one of the bags which is a pocket...

I added strips of patterned paper just inside the opening which gives the illusion, sort of, that the whole pocket is lined..

This is the front of the now folded purse and I added some lace..

This is the first fold front onto middle..

Looking into front pocket..

and trying to show here all the compartments

Taking a break...
I found all sorts of papers from magazines and some I may have printed, but mostly magazines..

And I made journals with them, just collaged all those pictures onto tallish card stock
which was folded and some papers added inside to write on..

I loved this one with the old phone and our 4 Square man bottom left..

I made a closure with card stock and Velcro and die cut a retro flower .

There she is standing up...

Flopped open...

Booklets in ever pockets..

added more flowers here and there

and pearls centers, so pretty..

This is showing the closure, works perfectly..

then I made another notebook..

This is a better flop picture..

Then added more lace for balance..

And I was done..

Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you after the weekend..

luv CHRISSYxx

This looks like tons of fun to do! The purse with its pockets and all is a fantastic project and I think I need to rummage through magazines too, like you do. Beautifully designed and I loved to look at all the photos.

Now isn't this the most clever thing! I love the details you've put on it yourself and you must've had some fun since you made a second one too! The papers, lace trimmings and flowers make this beautiful with your special touches on it! Thanks for inspiring my friend!
