UPTOWN GIRL...DT

 Hello everyone,

Well, talk about confusing..I forgot to let you know I was going away for three days on Kings birthday weekend and a post would go up that I wouldn't be commenting on until I got home, so thank you to some for two comments, I felt so special...BUT, not only that, I forgot to tell Ross, my backdoor neighbor, so on Saturday night he was lurking around my property as he noticed my backdoor open a bit and no lights on so came to check, getting no response, he rings the police, meanwhile other side of the drive by my front door,  Betty saw a lurking stranger with a dark hoodie prowling around so she called the cops on him..eventually they all met out the front at the same time and things were sorted, Betty told them I was away and the door was open for the cat feeding grandson and Ross was a good bloke and I was watching all this through my camera linked to my home and could do nothing about three hours away..lol..what a relaxing weekend ,

Happy Birthday to the King..

But now, the real reason we are all here  is it is LITTLE RED WAGON  time and this week our lovely Kate is hostess and with her theme  " UPTOWN GIRL " Feminine, Glam, fashion, ( fancy trims with sparkle etc)

My first stop was my lace and fancy pearls and trims box.

a brown paper shopping bag..

Then covered it with pretty feminine papers..

out with my trims, flower ribbon lace and cream ,very wide and
thick heavy lace.

some brads to hold the bottom flap together which formed a pocket..

die cut big tags which holds little tags..lots of them.

There she is all pretty and waiting for her ribbon..

and I used wire edge ribbon so it keeps it shapes really well and
added BIG pearls on the ends..

It is not the full size depth as the brads hold it close but you can get a card in there and box of chocs..or pantyhose!!!

so come on over and check us out HERE

Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you again soon..

Luv CHRISSYxx

A beautiful, creative bag. Iʻm going to have to remember this one...would be a good way to present someone a handmade journal. Glad all is well at home. So nice to have a caring community.

Oh wow you really dressed that bag up lovely didn't you. I like how you used it to make a pocket and then made pretty tags with pockets to hold even more tags, great way to add so many goodies to the outside :) loving the big bow to top it off!
Hope you had a good time away even with all the craziness happening at home, nice to have neighbors looking out for you!

Your bag looks amazing. Nobody will believe it was a brown bag originally.

Your story was so funny that I read it to John! I’m glad that all was sorted and that Ross wasn’t with the way to prison.

Your gift bag and tags are absolutely gorgeous, Chrissy! The final pink bow is the perfect touch!
