PART TWO OF THE BIGGIE..

 Hello everyone,

Back with part two of my deck of cards this time with Diamonds and Spades..and the boxes I mad efor them to sit in..

Well, the Diamonds, I had to throw a bit of nautical in there didn't I..

I used mainly die cuts, the odd sticker, and the edges were left clean..

I think I was zoned out on something else and just forgot,
but they look nice and clean..

haven't seen Stanley for awhile, so popped him in place..

Holly dropped to say hi.. and spread my stuff all over ethe place..

then the edges got to me, so out came the blues and greens washi tapes..

Much better...

then a few vintage stickers...

and they were done...

next up were the Spades and they had book pages
ripped into tiny bits on their frames..

and these are my images. famous people, actors,
remember Kenneth Willams from the Carry on movies..
and Marcus Welby MD..cannot remember his real name..

A few more faces I know but cannot remember names..
but they got stickered as well..

these stickers were vellum and they peeled so well,
but I added them to card stock to make them stronger as they were bigger..
then I could add smaller bits and the photo on top..

The number three, to the left, is a new die and becoming very popular in my room..

and nearly done, just need to crown the King..

DONE!!..

and a few more pictures, not long to go...
Making some boxes..

I love to make boxes and quite often get the measurement wrong in my head,
 but these worked perfectly..

Each set nestled in just right...

I made four...

sorting papers to cover them..

Finally went with the scripty papers..

and inked up their edges..

It does make a difference..

then they were done..

I used those business cards I was given and wrapped them to make a 'card' for
the top the added a miniature card on  top of that....

Four boxes for four sets of altered cards..

Lids off..

and here we have the final picture..

all 52 double sided altered deck of cards.

I hope you had fun and thank you so much for stopping by and getting to the end of these 2 big posts..
I appreciate it hugely..

I'll see you Monday..

Wow! Your altered playing cards are fantastic Chrissy, it would be impossible to pick a favourite set they are all brilliant. The amount of details you have added to each tiny work of art must have taken so much time and patience, but what a result!. The little boxes are beautiful too- love the layered playing cards on the lids, a fabulous finishing touch. Thank you for sharing your ideas and creativity and always being such an inspiration.

It doesn't seem to cost you any effort at all to create these fantastic sets. It would take me weeks. I so enjoy your photos of the making of.
It always makes me want to do something like that, but I don't manage to.
Well, to each his own.

What a stunning project of alteration, I'm in awe of the fact that you managed to turn a set of card into something so different, especially considering that you've presented so many different end results. And matching card boxes, too! I cannot possible imagine how much work went into this project, but the result certainly looks like it was all worth it. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.

Hugs, Veronika

these all turned out so terrific. After your big cards and projects with the nautical theme it is impressive you were able to make these small cards out of the same theme but you finished them off so nicely. Great layering in your second set of cards and those boxes for them are terrific also!

Always fascinating what you're into, Chrissy. These are stunning! What on earth will you do with all of them? Boxes are fab as well. P.S. Marcus Welby was also Father Knows Best in the 50's and his name was Robert Young. Best thing about the doc show was his young sexy motorcycle-riding assistant, James Brolin, introduced to the world. HubbaHubba! Ahhh, the Seventies! heehee XOX
