GRUNGE AND FROGS..

 Hello everyone,

Well, we had our first frost this morning...end of July and getting our first frost!!..at least that is going to make a nice sunny day..

This project is using a grunge background I made on "grunge making day" a wee while ago..

A grunge background with Magnolia flowers and frogs..

How I love making these backgrounds, you can't go wrong, if you don't like it, throw on more ink, or water it off..

The base was modelling paste just spread on like butter on a sandwich.
Then ink on top of the page, and sprayed water, let it run..
and dry well in between adding the inks..

So first I got this cute frog for $1 off Temu..he is plain and boring,
but, a neat shape so I glammed him up with ink, white pen and black pen..

I inked his edges with a dark olive green dye ink and added white where his eyes should be..

Gave him some white spots and a black dot in the middle of his eye..

Glued him in place//

Gave him a matching friend up the top right..

And there we have Magnolias and frogs on a grnge background..

and while I continue to stand in craftroom!
 Holly is resting comfortably..

and my finished card after adding gorgeous little resin hearts..

Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow..

Luv CHRISSYxx

OK Chrissy, firstly I LOVE this wonderful card and those frogs look very real, the flowers are perfectly gorgeous, fab card.
Holly always makes me smile, do love to see animals so loved, don't you...I used to always stand when crafting, it gave me a better perspective I think, now I can't and I miss it. As for your frosty day, how lovely, I miss the days we used to get like that, glorious sunshine and sparkle everywhere, for us it was always September weather but it seems to have all got screwed up now. Enjoy it while its there..xx

You really are very artisitic, what a wonderful card, I love those frogs and the magnolia. As for frost? We are in the middle of Summer with 16C (60f) cold enough for some days in Winter! grr. I want sun and heat! BTW. Standing while crafting is good for you. I haven't done it, but that's what I hear! :)

A gorgeous card Christine, love all the texture and fab frogs.
Glad to see someone is comfy! if I let Merlin (our 9 month old springer spaniel) in my craft room, he'd eat everything!

Your background is so cool, I have frogs like that and I just love the way you gave them details, I think I will stick to plain because mine wouldn't turn out so neat as yours. Love your flowers with it, I just got some new magnolia dies but haven't tried them out yet :)
