Hello everyone,
Time for another challenge over at Little Red Wagon and this week our fabulous JanR is hostess and she wants to see, Shapely - shaped projects, anything not square or rectangle..
Time for a round nautical card for me and such a lot of fun...
the first time I ever did this I could not figure it out and kept cutting it half..
but I got it now..
and it stands up..
and now time for layering my cardstocks..
made a frame using to dies and some wood grain papers from my stash..
punched tiny dots for the screws..
glued them down..
using round die cut a sky coloured paper from Couture Creations pad..
Thats the shape and layers sorted..
Ephemera time..
and some fussy cutting, I needed a small ship, and this littler fellow is very small..
But fits in really well inside the porthole.
Gluing some string on for interest..
dry you devil..
need to fix the ends,
so made a knot and glued it on..
added my birds...
a lovely chunky cluster..
and there she is..all done.
So, do come and join us with your shapely projects HERE
Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you later with another DT project....
luv CHRISSYxx

Absolutely fabulous! I love watching how your projects grow! Hugs, Valerie
Wonderful maritime scene with the small ship through the porthole. You have used great details and that knot to hide the ends of the string is a marvellous idea!

Absolutely brilliant work Chrissy I love this card and the nautical theme all the added bits make it so special your attention to detail is second to none I am not sure I would punch little circles for the screws I don't think I would have even thought about it which is why you are such an artist in my eyes, the little ship, the rope and seagulls this is excellent

I'd have just glued the back kick stand on, lol. But you did it right. Love the front of your circle card, very nautical! xoxo
Your round nautical card sounds like a blast to create! The wood grain papers and layering add a lovely depth, and the punched dots for screws are a clever detail. The fussy-cut ship and birds, along with the added string for interest, make for a charming and cohesive design!
Fantastic card, Chrissy! Such a clever concept!
You always do a beautiful job with your nautical cards, great scene out the port hole and the string is a neat touch and finished off by the birds!
